2 lbs. frozen hash browns
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. (8 oz. carton) sour cream
2 c. shredded American cheese

Mix all together and put into 9x13 casserole.

Mix 2 cups Special K cereal and 1/4 cup melted butter and sprinkle over top. Bake 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
