1 lb. fresh mushrooms 1 bay leaf 2 medium carrots, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped salt and pepper, to taste 1 tbsp. cornstarch mixed with 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. Gravy Master Cut mushrooms lengthwise and rinse under cold water. Pour boiling water over mushrooms and rinse again in cold water. Put mushrooms in a medium sized pot, add water to cover, add bay leaf, carrots, celery, onion and seasonings. Cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Make a paste of cornstarch and water. Add to mushrooms. Stir until thickened slightly. Add Gravy Master. Submitted by: Kim Slade |
