HOT MUSHROOM DIP | |
4 slices bacon 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut into small pieces 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. soy sauce 1/2 c. sour cream crackers, bread sticks, for dipping In skillet, fry bacon until done. Remove and crumble slices. Set aside. Cook mushrooms, onion and garlic in bacon fat until tender and most of mushroom liquid has evaporated, about 6 to 8 minutes. Mix flour, salt and pepper. Add cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Reduce heat to low and stir until cheese is melted. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and crumbled bacon bits.
