GERMAN SKILLET DINNER 
1 tbsp. butter
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut with liquid
2/3 c. uncooked reg. rice
1 med. chopped onion
1 lb. ground chuck
2 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

In large skillet, heat butter, spread sauerkraut over bottom of skillet. Sprinkle on rice, then chopped onion. Break up ground chuck with fork and spread evenly over rice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then pour on tomato sauce.

Cover lightly and cook over low heat, about 50 minutes, or until rice is tender. Serve from skillet. Makes 4-5 servings.
