GREEN BEAN PIE | |
1 (15 oz.) can cut green beans 1 (15 oz.) can condensed tomato soup 1 lb. ground beef, fried with salt and pepper to taste 1/4 c. chopped onion or 1 tbsp. dried minced onion can be added if desired 2 c. instant mashed potatoes, prepared as directed on package 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese 1/4 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese Fry ground beef, drain fat. Add can tomato soup and can green beans (drained) to ground beef. Simmer together 10 minutes then transfer to a casserole dish. This much can be done ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to eat. Prepare mashed potatoes, then top the other ingredients with the potatoes. Sprinkle cheese on top of potatoes. Cook in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or microwave approximately 10 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve your 1-dish meal in less than 1 hour. Serves 4. |
