CRAN-APPLE CRISP 
3 c. apple slices
1 -10 oz. can whole cranberry sauce
1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
1 c. quick oats (oatmeal)
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
1/3 c. butter
vanilla ice cream

Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel, core, and slice apples, then combine with cranberry sauce and orange rind; set aside. Mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt; cut in butter until crumbly mixture forms. Press a third of the mixture over bottom of greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Spread with fruit, then top with remaining oat mixture.

Bake 45 minutes or until brown. Serve warm with ice cream.

Makes 9 servings.
