SAUERKRAUT AND SAUSAGE 
1 can sauerkraut
1/2 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 to 1 tsp. caraway seed
1 sm. potato, grated
2 slices bacon, chopped
1 lb. cooked smoked sausage

Brown onion with bacon in pan. Add remaining ingredients except sausage and bring to a boil while stirring. Lower heat. Add sausage which has been cut into 2-inch long pieces. Cover pan and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve with panfried potatoes, pumpernickel bread, and hot mustard.
