STUFFED CABBAGE WITH MEAT 
1 lb. pork sausage
1 sm. potato, diced
1/3 c. uncooked rice
1 sm. onion, chopped fine
2 eggs
3 tbsp. chili powder
1 lg. head cabbage
1 c. salt
3 tbsp. bacon drippings

Mix sausage, potato, rice, 1 teaspoon salt, eggs, and chili powder. Take 15 large leaves of cabbage and put in pan, put cup of salt over. Cover with boiling water. Let set until leaves are wilted. On each leaf, put 1 heaping tablespoon of mixture. Roll, folding sides so mixture will not come out. Place in pan. Cover with tomatoes, bacon dripping and enough water to cover. Cook on slow fire one hour.
