GRANDMA CANNING'S PANCAKES 
1 qt. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 beaten eggs
2-3 tbsp. bacon grease
Flour, until right consistency (thick about 3 c.)

Mix soda, salt, sugar and eggs. Add buttermilk then grease. Gradually add flour until thick. Lightly grease griddle or fry pan. Drop batter on hot surface when bubbles form flip. Serve hot with syrup, jam, fresh fruit.
