FRIED PORK WITH SWEET 'N' SOUR
SAUCE
 
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 - 2/3 c. cold water
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 lb. pork, chicken, fish, etc. (cut in strips or cubes)
Deep fat fryer
Hot oil

In a mixing bowl, combine flour and cornstarch. Stir in gradually 1/2 cup water and soy sauce. Continue stirring until batter is smooth. Stir in 1 tablespoon of hot oil into the batter. Add baking powder to batter. Mix well. Dip pork pieces into the batter a few at a time and place carefully into the hot oil. Fry 5 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and drain well. Serve with Sweet 'N' Sour Sauce poured over it.
