PASTICCIO (BAKED MACARONI WITH
BEEF AND CHEESE)

7 oz. uncooked ziti or elbow macaroni (about 2 c.)
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. grated Kasseri, Parmesan or Romano cheese (6 oz.)
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Cook and stir beef and onion in 10-inch skillet until beef is light brown; drain. Stir in tomato sauce and salt.
