1 German chocolate cake mix

Make cake mix according to directions on the box. Bake half the batter in 9"x13" pan until done (divide time on box in half).

Melt 1 package caramels, 1 stick butter and 1/3 cup milk; pour over cake. Sprinkle over 3/4 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup nuts. Pour rest of batter over the top. Bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes and then at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
