ACORN SQUASH BAKED WITH APPLES 
2 acorn squash
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 apples
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Butter

Par boil acorn squash - (which have been halved and seeds scooped out) - for 15 minutes. Then place in a buttered baking pan. Mix brown sugar with pared and sliced apples and add a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon. Fill scooped out cavities of squash with apple mixture, dot with butter. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 4.
