BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan. Stir in remaining ingredients, except the chocolate chips. Spread in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
