APPLE ROLL 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 c. lard
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix ingredients for dough, roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Spread sliced apples on this. Sprinkle with cinnamon and roll as a jelly roll. Cut in 1 1/2 inch thick pieces.

2 c. sugar
1 pt. water

Mix together and boil for 5 minutes. Place syrup in baking dish and place apple roll slices in syrup. Bake until golden brown.
