4 med. apples
1 pt. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
Select apples that will cook quickly; peel and chop fine. Put sugar and water in baking pan over slow fire. While syrup is cooking slowly make rich biscuit dough. Roll out about 1/2" thick, spread with chopped apples and roll in a long roll; cut into pieces about 1 1/2" long; place with cut side down in hot syrup, small piece of butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake in a hot oven until apples are baked and the crust a golden brown. Pour on platter and pour syrup around them. May serve plain or with whipped cream.
