ITALIAN PRETZELS 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 1/2 c. warm water
2 eggs
1 tbsp. salt
1 c. oil
1 tbsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. anise seeds
5 c. flour

Dissolve in large bowl yeast, water and eggs. Add salt, oil, pepper, anise seeds. Add flour to make a stiff dough. Let raise 30 minutes. Shape into sticks or braids, pretzels shapes. Drop into boiling water. Cook a few at a time until dough raises to top of water. Take out, let drain on paper towels. Cook on greased pan for 30 minutes at 350 degrees until browned.
