SOFT PRETZELS 
1 env. yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 c. white flour
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 egg, beaten
Coarse salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in salt and sugar. Blend in flour. Knead dough until smooth. Cut into small pieces, roll into ropes and twist into desired shape.

Place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at once, 425 degrees, 12-15 minutes.
