LIGHT AND EASY BISCUITS | |
3 c. flour (sifted) 1 1/2 tsp. salt 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. Crisco or other shortening 1 c. milk In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening; add milk, stir until well blended. Transfer dough to slightly floured board. Knead lightly 8 to 10 times, roll dough to 9 inch square. Place dough to fit in 9 inch pan. Cut through dough to make 16 squares. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. When baked, biscuits will separate at lines. |
