LIGHT SWEET POTATO BISCUITS | |
These are so delicious, if you never liked sweet potatoes.. You will surely eat them now! Our family love to serve molasses over warm sweet potatoes, its almost like a dessert! 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 tsp. salt 2 1/4 tbsp. sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup shortening 1/4 cup milk 1 1/4 cup mashed cooked sweet potatoes Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together, cut in shortening. Combine milk and mashed sweet potatoes. Roll or pat into a ball about 1/2-inch thick. Bake them at 425°F for 15 minutes. SERVE WARM AND TOP IT WITH HONEY OR MOLASSES. Submitted by: ANN NOLT |
