TURKEY ROLL | |
1 1/2 lb. ground turkey 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1/4 c. tomato sauce 2 slices bread, crumbled 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 9 oz. frozen chopped spinach or broccoli, drained and patted dry 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded 3/4 c. hot tomato sauce Mix together the first 9 ingredients. Line a 12 x 8 inch cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Spread out meat mixture on foil; pat out to all four corners. Sprinkle on dried spinach or broccoli; sprinkle on cheese. Roll mixture into a loaf, like you would a jelly roll. Put meat seam side down in a baking dish. Pour the 3/4 cup hot tomato sauce on the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes. |
