HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
1 lb. Italian sausage (links) 4 (12 oz. ea.) cans tomato paste (Hunts) 4 cans water (use empty paste can) 2 garlic cloves, minced 1-2 tbsp. Italian seasoning (McCormick) 4 tbsp. sugar 4 tsp. salt Cut Italian sausage into 1-inch pieces, cook until well done. Meanwhile, put tomato paste, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar and salt into a large kettle or Dutch oven. Add 4 cans of water, mix until well blended. Bring to a hard boil, turn down to a simmer. Add cooked sausage. Add some of the grease (1 tablespoon). Simmer for 3 to 4 hours or until desired thickness. Submitted by: Lucy52 |
