PETE'S CHILI POT 
1 lb. ground chuck
1/2 tsp. salt
4 fresh jalapeno peppers
2 tbsp. chili powder
3 (8 oz.) cans red kidney beans
1 tsp. paprika
1 c. water
1 med. onion, coarsely chopped
Pinch of black pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 (8 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1/2 tsp. dried parsley
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
1 tbsp. butter

In a 5 quart Dutch oven saute onions in butter until translucent. Place onions in bowl leaving butter in pan. Fry ground chuck adding garlic powder, salt and pepper until brown. Pour off fat and add onions, jalapeno peppers, chili powder and spices. Add water and simmer for 45 minutes. Add beans, tomatoes, simmer for 45 minutes. Let sit for 1/2 hour, then serve. Serves 6 adults generously.
