PETE'S SPARERIBS SAUERKRAUT &
POTATOES
 
1 pkg. pork spareribs
1 glass or bag sauerkraut
4 or 5 potatoes
4 or 5 toes of garlic
Pepper
Salt
1 bay leaf
1 pinch of caraway seed

Split spareribs in one or two's, place in large pot; cover with water add pepper, salt, bay leaf, caraway seed and garlic. Bring to a boil and boil 30 minutes. Drain sauerkraut, rinse lightly, add to spareribs, boil for 15 minutes. Peel, wash and half potatoes, add to pot. Cook until potatoes are done. Place spareribs, sauce and 3 potatoes drained on plates and serve with rye bread.

Love this! Pretty much how my Mom made it. The only difference is that I added carrots when I added the sauerkraut and left out the caraway seed. (don't care for caraway).
