CORNBREAD STUFFING | |
For a chicken or turkey broiler. 1/3 cup chopped onion 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup fresh parsley, minced 3/4 cup bacon drippings mixed with melted butter 6 cups stale cornbread or cornbread stuffing cubes 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 3/4 teaspoon Bell's Seasoning 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1 egg, well beaten Brown onion in butter and bacon drippings mixture; add garlic. Crumble cornbread coarsely and combine with remaining dry ingredients. Add egg, butter/drippings, onion garlic together and mix well. Season the inside of the chicken with salt and pepper. Season the outside of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Roast until chicken or turkey breast reaches a temperature of about 160°F. Submitted by: Belle |
