ENGLISH PIE 
4 egg yolks, reserving whites to beat and add later
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
1 c. raisins
1 c. pecans
Lg. lump of butter (1/2 stick or more)

Cream egg yolks, sugar and butter; add spices, raisins, nuts and lemon juice; fold in beaten egg whites. Pour mixture into 2 uncooked pie shells and bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes. Serve topped with whipped cream.
