1 Duncan Hines yellow pudding cake
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1 c. sugar
1 can crushed pineapple
2 bananas
8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
3/4 c. shredded coconut
3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Maraschino cherries

Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake cake according to directions. Adds sugar to pineapple and boil 5 minutes. Poke holes in cooled cake with wooden spoon handle. Cover cake with pineapple mixture. Add remaining ingredients in layers in following order:

1. Pudding

2. Thin sliced bananas

3. Cool Whip

4. Coconut

5. Pecans

6. Halved cherries for garnish
