ALBANIAN TERA TA 
3 lg. cucumbers
2 qts. buttermilk
1 to 2 cloves garlic
Salt to taste

Skin and cut up cucumbers. Cut into bite size pieces. Put in large bowl. Crush garlic. Add to cucumbers. Pour in buttermilk. Mix thoroughly (more garlic may be added, if you wish). Salt to taste. Keep refrigerated. Serve cold.

I am from Albania. Usually we make this on hot days in summer, dinner time. It's really fresh and tasty. It's called "tarator". It's made excatly as you described, but forgot one ingredient. We also add olive oil a bit, it makes taste the "tarator" just great. It's one of the basic ingredient.. Thank you for publish this recipe in your webpage...
