TWINKIE CAKE | |
1 yellow or chocolate cake baked in 9x13" pan 5 tbsp. flour 1 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Crisco Bake cake mix in 9 x 13 inch pan. Cool and slice long ways in half. Cook over low heat the flour and milk, stirring until thick. Cool. Mix together sugar, salt, vanilla, butter and Crisco; cream until fluffy. Add to the flour mixture and beat until fluffy. Spread the filling on 1/2 of the cake. Put top layer on, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Refrigerate until served. |
