CHOCOLATE LAYER DESSERT 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts

Mix together ingredients of first layer. Press evenly in 9 x 13 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Second Layer:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1/2 of lg. Cool Whip carton

Cream cheese and sugar, then blend with Cool Whip. Spread over first layer.

Third Layer:
1 (2 c. size) pkg. chocolate pudding mix or other flavor
Remainder of lg. Cool Whip carton

Spread cooled pudding over second layer. Top with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with nuts. Let cool in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight.
