IRENE'S SWISS STEAK | |
1 to 2 lbs. steak 2 to 4 peppers, sliced 1 to 2 onions, sliced Flour Salt Pepper Tomato sauce Cut and slice steak horizontally. Pound to tenderize. Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a bag. Shake steak in bag to cover with flour mixture. Heat oil in skillet. Slightly cook peppers and then remove from pan. Cook onions and remove from pan, then steak. Layer steak, peppers, onions, and tomato sauce in a casserole dish. Refrigerate overnight to marinate. Bake at 350 degrees for at least 1 to 2 hours. Serve with egg noodles. |
