MARSHMALLOW ICING | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. water 6 lg. marshmallows 2 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. lemon juice or 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar Cook sugar and water until it comes to a boil. Then add marshmallows and cook until they melt. Beat egg whites and add cream of tartar, vanilla, lemon juice. Pour other mixture into white slowly and beat until wavy looking. Spread on cooled cake. This is also good on coconut cake after you put icing on, cover with coconut. |
