CHOCOLATE ALMOND TEA BREAD | |
1/2 c. almonds, sliced 2/3 c. sugar 1/4 c. butter 1 1/4 c. all purpose flour 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring 2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 1/2 c. milk 2 eggs 1 (1 oz.) block bitter chocolate, grated 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg Blend all ingredients well. Pour into bread pans about half full (butter pans). Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before removing from pans. Let cool before cutting. |
