SPAGHETTI SURPRISE | |
1 (7 oz.) pkg. thin wheat spaghetti 1 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef Salt and pepper to taste (seasoning salt if desired) 1/2 - 2 cans (8 oz. cans) tomato sauce (to taste) 8 oz. cream cheese 1/4 c. sour cream 1/2 lb. cottage cheese (low fat if desired) 1/3 c. scallions or onions 1 tbsp. fresh minced green peppers 2 tbsp. melted butter 1. Cook spaghetti and drain. 2. Saute beef in 1 tablespoon of butter. 3. Add tomato sauce (as much as desired), salt and pepper to meat mixture. Remove from heat. 4. Combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, onions and pepper in a bowl. 5. Take 1/2 of spaghetti and put on the bottom of the dish. 6. Cover with entire cream mixture. 7. Add remaining spaghetti and spread melted butter over it. 8. Spread the meat sauce on the top of the mixture. |
