PINEAPPLE CHEESE LOAF | |
2 c. sifted flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1 c. drained crushed pineapple, drain well 2 tbsp. melted butter 1 egg, beaten Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add cheese and salt. Add cheese and nuts and toss together. Stir the pineapple and butter into the beaten egg; add to dry ingredients. Blend well by hand, don't use mixer and pour into greased bread pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Turn out on wire rack to cool. When cool wrap well and store until the next day. Flavor is better the second day. |
