APPLE AND TOMATO CHUTNEY 
1 lb. cooking apples
1 lb. onions
1 lb. ripe tomatoes
1 tsp. pickling spices
4 oz. Sultanas
8 oz. vinegar or 1 c.
1 lb. sugar (2 1/4 c.)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard seeds or dry mustard

Peel and core the apples and chop into small cubes. Peel and chop onions. Skin tomatoes. Tie pickling spices in muslin. Place all ingredients in a pan and simmer for about 2 hours until thick. Remove spices and pour into hot jars and seal.
