STRAWBERRY CONGEALED SALAD 
1 c. water
1 (4 1/2 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1/4 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 sm. can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 regular size pkg. strawberry Jello
Fresh strawberry (opt.)

Bring water to a boil with sugar and pineapple. Add Jello, stir well until dissolved. Let set until it begins to congeal. Fold in Cool Whip, pecans, cream cheese and strawberries, if desired. Chill until firm. Serve on crisp lettuce leaf with a dab of mayonnaise and a strawberry on top of each salad.
