NAVAJO FRYBREAD 
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. warm water

Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Stir in water. Mix and knead for 5 minutes until soft dough forms. Let stand 30 minutes. Pinch off a piece the size of a lemon. Roll into a smooth ball. Pat into flat circle 3/4-inch thick. Stretch to size of saucer. Flip back and forth between palms to flatten. When 8 inches in diameter, stop and patch holes. Repeat with rest of dough. Fry in 1 cup hot oil. Makes 10 pieces. Drain on paper towel.
