STUFFED PORK CHOPS | |
2 tbsp. minced onion 1/2 c. boiled rice 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1 c. canned tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 6 thick pork chops, trimmed 1/2 c. water Brown onions and rice in frying pan with melted butter. Add bread crumbs, tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Let simmer 10 minutes. Let stand until cool. Stuff chops with mixture and fasten with skewers. Brown chops on both sides in frying pan on top of stove, cooking until meat is heated through. Put in ovenproof Pyrex casserole dish with tight-fitting cover. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and bake at 350 degrees 1 to 1 1/4 hours. |
