CHERRIES IN THE SNOW 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. softened butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 can cherry pie filling
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. whipped cream

Combine flour, butter, brown sugar, and nuts into bowl, and mix well. Spread in 8 inch square pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, let cool. Crumble into 9 x 13 inch serving dish. Blend cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl. Fold whipped cream into cheese mixture. Spoon over crust. Top with pie filing, freeze overnight.
