1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. thick sweetened applesauce (heated)

Mix well and add hot applesauce last. Cook at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes and check. Yield 24 cupcakes.
