FRIED GREEN TOMATOES 
4 firm green tomatoes, sliced about 1/4-inch thick
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, for frying

Mix egg and milk together well. In a separate bowl mix remaining ingredients together.

Preheat butter in frying pan, dip tomato in egg mixture and then in dry mixture. Place in heated frying pan and fry until brown and crispy on both sides.

Note: Butter can burn easily and may need to be changed if a second batch is made.
