MOLASSES CHIP DIAMONDS 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. milk
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Sift flour, baking powder, ginger, soda, salt. Cream shortening, gradually add sugar. Beat in egg, the molasses. Alternately add flour mixture and milk to shortening, beating well after each addition. Stir in chips and nuts. Spread onto a greased and floured 15 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes. Let cool. Cut diagonally from corner to corner at 2 inch intervals.
