CARAMEL BREAD PUDDING 
3 to 4 slices of bread
Butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
3 eggs
1 c. milk
Dash of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Spread bread with butter and cut into squares to measure 2 cups. Spread butter on inside of double boiler. Add bread squares. Do not stir. In small bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt and vanilla. Pour over bread. Do not stir. Cover pan and cook over simmering water one hour or until puffed. Serve warm with whipped cream.
