1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. dark molasses
1/2 c. cold coffee
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour

Mix all together. Add raisins if desired. Put in 7x11 pan. Sprinkle top with granulated sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. Quick to make. Delicious warm.
