VINEGAR PIE 
2 tsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tsp. vinegar
1 c. water
1 crust

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients, egg, vinegar and water. Cook on top of double boiler until thickened, stirring constantly. Line pie pan with crust. Bake in moderate oven (350) for 3 minutes and then pour in filling and continue baking until crust is brown. Makes one 8 inch pie.
