PEANUT BUTTER CREAM PIE 
1 (9") baked pie shell
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1/3 c. peanut butter
2/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
3 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream until creamy: confectioners' sugar and peanut butter. Put 2/3 of this in pie shell. Cook together sugar, cornstarch, flour, salt, egg yolks, milk, butter and vanilla until thick. Pour into shell over peanut butter mixture. Cool.

MERINGUE: Beat 3 egg whites until stiff with 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cornstarch. Beat until stiff and shiny. Sprinkle with remaining peanut butter mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
