PEANUT BUTTER CREAM PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter until crumbs form. Cover bottom of baked pie shell with crumbs. Save 3 tablespoon of crumbs.

In heavy skillet mix together 1/2 cup granulated sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in milk and egg yolks until blended. Put over medium heat and cook 5 minutes, stirring until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Cool.

Turn into pie crust. Beat egg white until foamy. Add 6 tablespoons sugar, beating until stiff. Pile on top of pie. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes or until golden.
