ALMOND SHORTBREAD | |
1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 1/2 c. flour 1 egg white sliced almonds Beat the butter, sugar, eggs and extract together until creamy. Add the flour and mix well. Divide dough in half and put in 2 (8-inch) cake or pie tins. Brush with the egg white and sprinkle with sugar and sliced almonds. Bake at 325°F for 30 to 40 minutes. |
