SPANISH COFFEE CAKE | |
2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. white sugar 3/4 c. salad oil (use oil, solid shortening will not do) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon Mix flour with remaining ingredients and reserve 1/2 cup of it and add 1/2 cup nutmeats for topping. To the remaining add: 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 1 egg Mix 4 minutes and pour equally into 2 loaf pans. Put crumbs - nut mixture on tops. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until toothpick comes out dry. |
